Hello. I am interested in the SR2. I currently own EMU Teak headphones (a Fostex OEM), and would like to ask you if you have heard any of the similar bio-cellulose models like TH-X or Fostex TH600/610 or Denon? The reviews point to a similar sound... Have you had the chance to compare and if yes, would you care to comment?
By the way I plan to use the SR2 with Arcam rHead - i believe it can be a good match, it plays well the the Teaks.

Hi @VilMo I've heard alot of headphones you mentioned (tr-x00, d5200, d7200, th900, d2000, d5000 etc). They have alot of similarities. Punchy bass, good overall macrodynamics. That biocellulose sound is definately there. With other pads sound signature of sr2 is closer to most zmf headphones. Other pads make it more pronounced in upper midrange and tame the midbass so it's closer to most planar headphones. Neither pads make it V-shape sounding so it's a nice complimentary to Fostex,denon,teaks. Technically I think it's in the same league, perhaps even more impactuff. In many ways I think it is what baby of Fostex and Focal headphone would sound like since SR2's impedance and sensitivity is similar to EM-U, I think it would pair well with same as the Teaks.
