Official Ipod Video / Classic 5g+5.5g+6g+6.5g+7g SSD Mod thread
In my experience, yes, you should be able to hear a difference. And you'll likely need a larger capacity card (depending on the size of your library). Besides that, it will help you save your library in lossless for any devices you might acquire in the future.- LordBorg

The new HiBy RS2 has arrived at MusicTeck!
Ha! Good one! I do own a radio station. But, no, I'm just frustrated that Hiby advertises 4TB of space when you can fit 50,000 lossless songs in 1TB.- LordBorg

Portable DAC and Amplifier Q3 MQA Edition Is Officially Released!
Another missed opportunity: this would have been a perfect product for MagSafe compatibility. -
Reply to review by 'LordBorg' on item 'Questyle M15 · Mobile Lossless Headphone Amp with DAC'
Thanks for the review. I completely agree with your assessment! I own (or have owned) several dongle DACs and this one is by far my favorite. Clean, powerful, and musical with just about any earphones/headphones.- LordBorg

FiiO concept design-From JamesFiiO(Updated to Appreciation of earbuds concept design (6) Handsome helmets)
A dongle DAC with a battery pack is a great concept. I'm just surprised that no one has jumped on the untapped opportunity of MagSafe compatible products... a dongle DAC with MagSafe built in would allow iPhone users to just stick the dongle on the back without the need for external magnets... -

@Rockwell75 was quick to respond, cordial, and shipped the IEMs the same day (as promised). They arrived in the U.S. from Canada in only 4 days. IEMs were as described. Highly recommended!- LordBorg

Official Ipod Video / Classic 5g+5.5g+6g+6.5g+7g SSD Mod thread
In my experience, Rockbox uses up more battery power. I have a 1TB Gen 5.5 with about 900GB worth of CD quality music (16 bit, 44.1)... it works really well running the original OS. My Gen 7 with 2TB has about 1.8GB of CD quality music and a few music videos... it also works very well without...- LordBorg

iFi audio ZEN CAN Signature 6XX / ZEN DAC Signature now sold by iFi !!!
Too bad. The ZEN DAC, which I own, is ideal because it's a reasonable dac/amp in one... this form factor does not look good stacked, so not a good idea to split dac and amp into two separate devices when you could have a single "killer" device. IMO- LordBorg

No DAC? For the purported price, this would be a killer setup if it came with a Burr Brown like the Zen DAC!- LordBorg

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC
It happens to me too... every time I start a new album, I either have to hit play again for the song to actually start or it cuts off a couple of seconds in the beginning...- LordBorg

I agree with this... the thumbnails are way too small... they could easily be larger, making this more visually appealing and easy to navigate.- LordBorg

Audeze LCD-1
This afternoon I got back home and tried a couple of other balanced cables I had--to no avail. Apparently Audeze has its own wiring scheme for the LCD-1. So I sat down to listen to the them again unbalanced, and after a few minutes just got irritated with the sound. I guess they're not for me...- LordBorg

I hope you don't find the treble harsh. It wasn't like that all the time for me... just "sometimes." Overall I like them, but at this point I'm not sure I'll be keeping them.- LordBorg
