Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Hello again Hansotek. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out with this :) Based on your description of "warm" and "cold" sounds, I believe I have misinterpreted what I've read online before. So let's say I want something neutral sounding in that case (a slight deviation...- myaman

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Thanks CZ4A! I haven't heard of the NAD Viso HP50 before, but checked them and they seem pretty decent from the reviews. However, with me having no way of trying them on, the comfort issue presents a risk I can't take- myaman

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Hello Hansotek, Thanks for the quick response. 1) I'm currently using the Westone W4s, so this will be my first full-sized headphone. I have also tried a friend's AKG 712 Pros. They sounded fine, but left something to be desired in the sound stage and instrument separation department. ...- myaman

Hey Xtron2112, According to the research I did, the UM3x were recommended for those genres. However, if you go through the entire thread you will notice that the SM3 V2's and the Westone W4's were recommended over them (samples below): "I received my SM3 V2 yesterday and thoughs...- myaman

Hey guys, Do you know of any android-compatible good quality cable that has a mic, volume up/down and answer call buttons? I might get the W4R's instead of the W4's if i can find a decent cable for phone use.- myaman

Thanks for the feedback. Do you have any recommendations in my price range that might fit the metal genre better or is the laid-back treble somewhat of a minor issue?- myaman

I agree about the SE535's, the reviews are all great but vary widely. The W4's had the most consistent reviews I've seen from the IEM's I was looking at. You actually just reminded me that one of the main reasons I eliminated the UM3X was because they were described as somewhat bassy.- myaman

Hey Michael172 I did consider the UM3X but winded up going with the W4 because of the way the UM3X's sound signature was described (can't remember what it was specifically ). How would you describe the sound signature, 3D presentation and sound stage on the UM3X?- myaman

Hey PocketSmiley, Thank you for the feedback. I have taken a look at your test. It seems to be too specific for me to judge any set of headphones based solely on its outcome. It also does not mention any of the headphones in my finalized list. I, however, understand that this test...- myaman
