Help on upgrading from my sennheiser momentum 2.0's?
Play3r on3, thanks for your input. I did end up getting the 99's and so far I am very happy. I am not getting any microphonics from the cord and the headband seems very stable and very comfortable.- Frostychrist

Size Matters - Earpad hole measurements for Over-ear Headphones....
Found this thread super helpful while I was shopping for my new headphones. Decided to get the Meze 99 Classics. Didn't see a measurement for those, so I'll add them here. All measurements are for the inner part of the pad. Height: 60mm Width: 40mm Depth: 20mm- Frostychrist

Help on upgrading from my sennheiser momentum 2.0's?
Thanks. Yeah, the more I research the 99's the more I think I will get them. The pm-3's are interesting but they seem like they would be a little more neutral than I'd like. They are a little more portable as well. Not a big concern though when I use them I am mainly stationary. As long as the...- Frostychrist

Help on upgrading from my sennheiser momentum 2.0's?
I am relatively new to using over the ear headphones. Used IEM's for a very longtime (last ones being Westone w4r). For whatever reason the IEM's started irratating my ear so I made the switch to over the ear. First pair the momentum's. I love these headphones. Just wish the mids were not as...- Frostychrist

Future Sonics vs Westone 3?
The atrios are great. Yes you can really feel the bass. I like that fact that even when you turn the volume down low the bass is still present. I have not had any problem with isolation. If i am listening to music everything nothing external comes in unless I have the volume way down. When I...- Frostychrist

Future Sonics vs Westone 3?
I can see that sound waves are going to react and respond to the obstacles and materials around it. Obviously sound bouncing off a tin wall is going to be different that plaster or foam. But I would suspect the effects in IEM's would be very minimal. Then again in something so small the affects...- Frostychrist

Future Sonics vs Westone 3?
i haven't had any problems with the housing. And I found out the hard way how durable these headphones were. Very durable. Don't know how the housing would effect sound quality, but I do know its important for comfort.- Frostychrist

Future Sonics vs Westone 3?
I have the m5's. If there is a newer model of the atrios I might have to go with them. I am really tempted to check out the W3's though. Wasn't to big on Shure's, not very comfortable to wear. I liked the detail and clarity they offered but never really "felt" my music. Probably better to stick...- Frostychrist

Future Sonics vs Westone 3?
I currently have the Future sonics atrios. I love these headphones. Very balanced detailed sound and very comfortable. Tried other brands (shure, sennheiser, etc..) and found that either the sound was not what I was looking for. I have had my Future sonics for 1 1/2 - 2 years. The sound is...- Frostychrist

I listend to some of my Doom metal albums which I absolutly love and never fully experienced the dark broding these albums had until i got my m5's. Futuresonics Atrio M5
I found that the large double flange works the best for me. It seems like the sizes of their tips are different from other brands. I have used mediums for all others. Also i have no idea who would be able to wear the small double flange. I out them in my 6 year old suns ears and they didn't seem...- Frostychrist
