HiBy R2 - HiBy's entry-level HiFi digital audio player
You can tell which version of WH2 you have by looking at the color of the screens in the ends of the "output" holes. Dual BA will be silver, Dynamic will be gold. I still haven't tried UAT yet, but from what I'm reading here I gather the R2 and WH2 use different (incompatible) versions of UAT...- MrNaturalAZ

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
AliExpress suggests it's shipping from China. I dunno about Canada, but pretty much anything Ive ever bought from China here in the US has had either free or super cheap shipping. Shipping time, otoh, is unpredictable - could be as fast as under a week, or could take several months. Probably...- MrNaturalAZ

HiBy R2 - HiBy's entry-level HiFi digital audio player
My W2/R2 bundle finally arrived. I'm quite pleased with the W2s so far. Small size, great sound via LDAC (I haven't tried UAT, tho), small and light. And a good pairing with the R2. I'm also liking the R2. Compared to my R3Pro, it's smaller/lighter, has a more visually appealing (if sometimes...- MrNaturalAZ

I don't know why you couldn't get it to work as-is, but I'm glad you got it working. Very interesting that it works without the ".txt" extension!- MrNaturalAZ

HiBy R2 - HiBy's entry-level HiFi digital audio player
I ordered the WH2 (BA version) plus R2 bundle from the Kickstarter campaign. Looking forward to hearing the WH2, and while I already have the R3 Pro, it will be interesting to compare the two players, and nice to have a smaller DAP with nearly the same feature set (only lacking the balanced...- MrNaturalAZ

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
Only other thing I can suggest is connect them to your iPhone, turn the volume to max (you may actually have to b er playing something), then disconnect (while at max volume) and then pair with the Hiby. Also, I'm sure there's a thread -probably many- here on Head-Fi about Airpods Pro. Maybe...- MrNaturalAZ

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
In the R3Pro's Bluetooth menu there's a setting for "Bluetooth volume adjust". I've found this useful for earphones that don't have their own volume controls. Select that, then tap "Increase..." 16 times (to ensure it's at max) and then adjust listening volume with the R3Pro regular volume...- MrNaturalAZ

Hiby R2, R3, R3 Pro radio.txt File - 226 Verified Stations including SomaFM, 181.fm, and more
Just popped in here for a quick update. Added one station - Early 1900s Music Preservation's "Radio Dismuke", offering 1920s-30s pop and jazz along with occasional vintage commercials. I've updated the file attached to the OP and at http://masturbatorium.com/hibyradio.txt Since it's only one...- MrNaturalAZ

The New HIBY R3 II is here. 4.4MM Jack; Improved Sound and Bluetooth.
And just in case it isn't obvious, you can have both. Once you've logged into each service once, it will remember your credentials and you can switch back and forth as desired by long-pressing the icon.- MrNaturalAZ

Qobuz Lossless Streaming Service Thread
Interesting. The Qobuz website has a link to the play store, but it's 404. Apple store link still works. For a minute I thought maybe Google was taking down all the competition to try to force people into using YouTube Music, but all the others are there. Interestingly, if you search for "Qobuz"...- MrNaturalAZ

Wiwoo H11 portable DAP
Basic inexpensive lossless DAP with Bluetooth, 3.5MM, SD, FM radio, and 30-hour battery. Anybody else have one of these? I found it for the ridiculousy low price of $11 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WV9FDD2 (Regularly $35.99, use coupon code JU9YBPFP for $10.80 price). [edit: coupon...- MrNaturalAZ

Have you double checked: filename radio.txt (all lower case) fie is in root of the SD card you are using actual downloaded file? Opening the file and then saving it sometimes won't work depending on your o/s and text editor. ALSO - once you have placed the file on the SD card - especially if...- MrNaturalAZ

Hiby R2, R3, R3 Pro radio.txt File - 226 Verified Stations including SomaFM, 181.fm, and more
I answered your first question about Android radio apps over on the R3Pro thread (quick answer: TuneIn). As for changing stations without using the screen, if you're listening to "radio", the previous/next buttons will let you step through the list. The change is surprisingly quick too, almost...- MrNaturalAZ

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
The hands-down best Android "radio" app is TuneIn. Pretty much if there's a stream available, they'll have it. Virtually every broadcast and web radio station. Don't be distracted by I-Heart, which doesn't hold a cande to TuneIn. That said, in spite of it having broadcast stations, it is still...- MrNaturalAZ

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
In that case, then, the R3Pro is really just functioning as a file browser/server, no? All the decoding and amplification is happening in the HipDAC. Theoretically, at least, pretty much any DAP (or phone or computer, etc) would sound equally good. I'm not arguing that it isn't an excellent...- MrNaturalAZ

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
I have the original R3Pro. No real problems with Tidal nor Qobuz (I have both) streaming at highest bitrate. Very rarely I'll have a hiccup on Qobuz on extremely high bitrate tracks, but then again, my home internet is a cellular hotspot so speed isn't always consistent. OTOH, Tidal's MQA files...- MrNaturalAZ

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
Exactly. The higher max voltage (=more power) improves dynamic range, which helps with sonic dynamics and transparency. It's the reduction of crosstalk that improves imaging and can widen the soundstage. This is, of course, in the context of driving headphones directly. When acting as a line...- MrNaturalAZ

Monoprice Electrostatic Headphone
Interesting. That would explain why you couldn't find it via searching or browsing. They probably de-indexed it before marking it "discontinued", and I caught it last night right in between the two actions. Oh well. I guess now I own a rare discontinued item - LOL! OTA update worked (almost) perfectly for me. When I tried to download it, it said "no SD card" (or maybe it was "SD card not found") even though it had a card in it. Ejected and reinserted card (without even exiting the download screen) and retried - worked perfectly!- MrNaturalAZ

Qobuz Lossless Streaming Service Thread
I saw that and jumped on it (with the extra $20 off even!). Makes Tidal actually a good deal - CD and better for what most people are paying for lossy. Interesting that it's a Best-Buy-only deal. So anyway, I now have both Tidal and Qobuz. I'm enjoying Tidal's playlists, and while they tend to...- MrNaturalAZ

I know this is a headphone forum, but I was going through some old stuff and found this dreamGEAR i.Sound 2x and it's the perfect size for my R3Pro if I ever want to listen through (very tiny) speakers. Doesn't play very loud, but doesn't sound nearly as bad as you'd think.- MrNaturalAZ

Monoprice Electrostatic Headphone
Oh, bummer. Might be a DIY repair if you're handy. Wonky charging port probably just needs the USB connector resoldered, tho it might just be the cable (have you tried a different one?). Static in one ear could be the amp or the headphone. You'd almost need to have another to swap out to be...- MrNaturalAZ
