DAC/DAP Recommendation?
Hello Hello.Hopefully the author won't mind me borrowing his thread. Has anyone compared Xduoo x3ii and Acmee mf-01 with Colorfly C3? purely sound quality-wise I have the Colorfly C3 (waiting for Topping NX1s to arrive) and i'm using it with mainly the AT MSR7-b and a couple cheap earbuds like...- LaLoon

Since i'm not sure about this, consider it a guess (although i doubt it's a coincidence) After choosing the "Power Only" function it says "charging..." while showing a power plug with the battery bars on top. When the bars are moving, it's charging. When they are not moving, it's fully charged.- LaLoon

Yes.Onboard memory works fine. Before posting i tried two 16 and 8 GB cards. Both worked.Shortly after i changed the partition (64GB) from logical to primary and now it works. So problem solved. Thanks though! @Bluewave http://www.colorfly.eu/download.html (bottom) No update.- LaLoon

Never mentioned anything like that. What i did mention was that if for example 12 out of 15 people reviewed an item and said "this has great soundstage" then i'll consider it as a product with at least good soundstage. I still have some objections but we all had our opinions...- LaLoon

...a conclusion > conclusion Of course sound is already subjective enough but you can't buy everything just to check how it really is, right? *note: it's not an offensive post.I just wanted to explain the way i think + i always appreciate people that dedicate time to write reviews and...- LaLoon

I don't own any of these. My posts are based on what i've seen from spending many hours of reading about what others had to say about them.Their price is pretty close and they both use the ATJ2127 so of course it's not a big difference but i think that the S5 has the edge when it comes to SQ...- LaLoon

S5 has better sound quality but K9 has other pros like a bigger screen- LaLoon

@LaughMoreDaily nope.Colorfly C3 is on a different level but the S5 is a great entry-level option given that it costs only 20$.The only thing that's better on the S5 is it's simplistic menu and slightly bigger screen.- LaLoon

Is there a reason for you to insist on 24bit audio? aside of the fact that it's a controversial format (i don't know if anyone can say that it makes a difference while being 100% sure) people are having a hard time to spot a difference between 16bit FLACs and 320 MP3s.. my advice is that...- LaLoon

Give it a good 30 days and along with the better price (maybe even better than 75 pounds, who knows) you will get an updated firmware and a bunch of reviews to make your choice safer- LaLoon

So for now we know that the build quality is at least good and the UI fast.Great news! If the SQ is respectable i'll go for it! Waiting for some more info on how it sounds, if possible :)- LaLoon

Speaking about Nintaus, i think it uses the ATJ2167 (same with Mrobo). Honestly, i can't wait for a full review of the C5 I'm between this and Colorfly C3 but i can't decide because there is not even one review for the C5- LaLoon

lol :D Given that they're at 32Ω all we can say is that the should be able to drive some 32Ω phones.Guess i'll have to look elsewhere! Wait, did you mean the 150Ω version? i thought that it could (supposedly) drive up to 128Ω- LaLoon
