Oh! I thought they were available in the US. To answer your question, not enough to put me off buying a set which I probably will do.- Wizzard

Bassy IEM's with detachable cable for ~ £100
IE80 is something that I feel I can only drool over. While I could probably save up a bit and get them, I would probably fear for their safety in being brought outside the house at that pricepoint so I guess it's my fault for being overly keen with my budget. On the other hand, I had never seen...- Wizzard

Bassy IEM's with detachable cable for ~ £100
Due to an extremely unfortunate fall, I managed to break one of the drivers on my Shure SE215's which have been very reliable for the past 2 or 3 years. While I can go out and get a replacement driver, it got me thinking that maybe it's worth upgrading to something slightly more serious. I...- Wizzard

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
Thank you very much. Attempted today and although I would've done a few things differently (individual heatshrink for each set of wires and so on), I succeeded and I now have a working cable once again. Again, thanks a bunch and Merry Christmas.- Wizzard

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
Going back to my original question, once I got the DMM, I'm still a bit confused as to what I'm supposed to do. According to all the advice, it will have something to do with Ohm's. I understand that the sensible thing to do is to go and Google the answer like everyone else but I'm not even...- Wizzard

Could DMM mean Digital Multi Meter? Also, I do apologies for the clamping method but in my defense, the helping hand is very old and exceptionally weak (barely holds anything and therefore didn't scratch the casing).- Wizzard

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
Right, the cable on my Shure SE215's died and instead of getting another stock cable, I plucked for the FiiO RC-SE1. Unfortunately due to it's size, it didn't pair well with my iPhone and kept popping out all to often. Despite having very limited soldering knowledge, I decided to change the jack...- Wizzard

In short, what would be an upgrade to the Shure SE215 in terms of general SQ and preferrably, stronger bass too within the range of £400 (400 being the absolute maximum for something that would blow my mind as I would much prefer spending around £200 to £300 for a good improvement)?- Wizzard

Thanks for all the advice guys. Now I'm trying to decide between DT770's and the PRO700's but I'm really leaning towards the DT770's since the PRO's don't look comfortable and I've got an offer on the 770's.- Wizzard

I require some help guys and because I'm a lazy sod, I'll just copy and paste from my thread. Sorry in advance. I don't have extensive experience with quality headphones or IEM's (but I do guess that its a bit more than average Joe) but recently I was lured into buying the RX900's. And...- Wizzard

Ultimate mix of comfort and bass for under £200
Dear Head-Fi'ers. This is yet another thread where a person asks for help in deciding which headphones he should purchase. I'm well aware that there are thousands of threads that are very similar to mine but unfortunately, none of the more recent ones seem to fit my case so being a...- Wizzard

Wow, sorry to hear that. I had heard that Xears had terrific quality (*cough* sarcasm *cough*) but I had also heard that Ultraphiles were much better in that regard. Guess I was wrong :[ Now I'm feeling really good that I ordered the JVC because Ultraphiles were a serious contender. ...- Wizzard
