Oh, they really are not very portable at all, and do look bulky, so home listening only really!

I have a pair of 215's and I am very happy with them, they have a flat sound which favours electronic music. They sound really nice with my PA2v2, a steal off ebay!

Have to agree, they do have a bit too much bass and rolled highs and a struggling midrange, which gets worse when amped (perverse i know, I normally only use my amp with my hd215s, but I thought id see what they sounded like). A good EQ will sort most of the problems, and they do sound a lot...

I'd vote for the hd215, if you are on a modest budget, the bass only appears after a good running in

Have you applied the volume hack and firmware upgrade phosfiend? That sped up my A3000 no end.
