New Schiit! Ragnarok and Yggdrasil
Well hopefully the tube Rag version won't be too hot. My ZD is excellent in winter, it's like having a room heater lol but it's summer here soon in Sydney and I'd love to have a cooler amp ;)- zhunter

Audeze LCD-X
I'm wondering that the LCD-XC could justify its price tag when the TH900 is cheaper and considered the "best" closed back phone now, well, period, if you don't count the extremely rare Sony R10. Really intrigued with the XC, hope to see some constructed reviews soon.- zhunter

Audiophilleo 1 and 2 USB to S/PDIF transport
Thanks John, but I just sold my V800 a couple of days ago, and actually missed its sound, really :<, it was a great DAC. If I can afford to keep it, I would, but sometimes budget becomes a issue, and I have to let something go to try the new stuff. And good news is I'll be pairing the AP2+PP...- zhunter

Audiophilleo 1 and 2 USB to S/PDIF transport
Philip is a very cool guy, response the email quick and super quick dispatching, I received the PP's shipment notification with tracking id after making the payment 10-15mins. So exited and can't wait for my AP2+PP to arrive!- zhunter

Holy Loki! Schiit brings DSD processing to the masses!
Love to read the FAQs as always lol This little Loki is really a unique product in the market, add the DSD option to any of your DAC! Awesome! I'd probably grab it if I have some DSD here to try, unfortunately 90% of my music library are still 16 bit, 44.1k flacs lol- zhunter

Meier Daccord vs Violectric V800 - any opinions?
If price is no concern then I'd get the V800 for the matching stack, they are not only looking great together but also terrific sounding.- zhunter

Spending money on USB converter or amplifier? Help me choose
Fair enough, I just don't wanna argue with these non-conclusion topics. Your statement doesn't have any proof to strengthen it since this kind of topic is all about "your feeling", same with the endless topic "does cable make a difference". FYI, I've tried the AP2 non PP, yep the difference...- zhunter

Spending money on USB converter or amplifier? Help me choose
I don't know but saying such thing like that is too general dont you think so? It all depends on "how much" would you want to spend i think, for $150 a M2tech Hiface would result in better performance. But having 1-2k to spend is a different story, ICs would bring out something significantly...- zhunter

Spending money on USB converter or amplifier? Help me choose
If I were the OP, I would spend the money on a better amp, if your new DAC already had an usb input (in case you wanted to use usb, or whatever connection). Spending for a usb spdif converter would be the last piece in your chain ihmo, even spending on ics would bring more effects. Just my .02.- zhunter

Spending money on USB converter or amplifier? Help me choose
Not really, The usb input implementation inside the Hex and Octave MKII are actually the M2tech Hiface OEM, nothing fancy, a mediocre converter imho. Not reaching 3k range to have great usb input, for example every single DAC from Audio GD these days come with their USB32, it's quite easy to...- zhunter

Review: Violectric V800 DAC
Good choice since the usb implementation on the v800 is a little bit out dated. But they still achieved 'world-class' jitter elimination with 25ps with the SRC upsamping chip like John said on his review. 25ps is even higher than a so-so spdif converter like the m2tech hiface (50ps), which is...- zhunter

Review: Violectric V800 DAC
Yeah, and both v800 and zana are very revealing, pairing together resulted in a very smooth, pleasing and revealing sounding setup. Frankly, I've never been kind of believing in interconnects, power cables things, but I have to admit that I do feel noticably huge improvement after changing...- zhunter

Review: Violectric V800 DAC
I actually never found the vocal dry and flat, perhaps the v200 and the zana's tubey signatures helped it. The other amps that I've tried with the v800 were also hybrid amp like the the Lyr, so can't commend on other amps when pairing with the v800.- zhunter

Review: Violectric V800 DAC
The AC/DC and Lift Ground jumper settings are for the V200, there is pretty much nothing is needed to change beside the internal gain setting for XLR output. Have fun with your V800 and tell us more about your impressions- zhunter
