I have been using them with my HiBy R8 to good use for short outside listenings and have enjoyed it. Mostly use that for my Odins but sometimes you want what you want. The turbo mode helps a lot but it definitely does not reahc to the heights of the VC on my Pendant.

I can attest to this being very true. My friend generally does not like Closed Backs and could not stand the VC with Auteurs but as soon as I put the BE2s on he was bouncing in his chair with a smile on his face.

Received my VC CB yesterday and can +1 Zachs info on the solid Be-2 pads. The fit reminds me a lot of my e-MU Ebony pads which is a big score imo as I love those pads, i think they trend close enough to the Auteur pads that they can be switched in for a more easy back seat listening experience...

Agreed with the second paragraph completely. I only went with the Pendant after my own research and loosening of my budget to get to that expense. He recommended much more affordable options based on the parameters and signature I wanted given what I already have at home.

I’ve come to disdain the harshness of the SMSL. Got the Bifrost 2 for its warmth, I ALMOST got a used Ygg a2 like you but it got scooped before I could jump. Almost got a new one but meh idk, haven’t gone that deep yet. If the Auteurs were here I wouldn’t put a bet on it not happening.
