Yeah, don't try that :wink: It is indeed balanced. Have not seen any uptake on the standard in the west, but it was not uncommon in China upon release. I have this amp matched to the short-lived A18 DAC with a single AK4499 chip. Don't see the need to ever upgrade either.

Hello - Is anyone else experiencing stability issues after updating to the new firmware (V1.69)? Not that the M8 was particularly stable before, mind you. I cannot even get the Shanling music app to boot in Android mode anymore....

A common problem for me, too. About 25% of the times I boot the device, requiring a reboot or two. With all kf the recent FW.

Just swapped my Fisher 400 into my home office system - nearfield ADS L200 speakers and 600ohm Beyerdynamic Manufaktur DT990s. Er, wow. Some seriously fine sound with the Beyers, if slightly sibilant. Am hoping to tame that with some Dekoni sheepskins. As engaging as any head-fi I have...
