DENAFRIPS 'ARES' R2R discrete ladder DAC - close up view
Have you tried to use a different power cable? I have a copper washer and hear no difference. I’m sure there will be the same with a silver one. But with Fujikura CV 600 + Monosaudio F104/E104 there are very nice improvements.- squadgazzz

Don't waste your money. A good and even cheaper streamer would bring you a much better experience via Coax.- squadgazzz

Comparisons here do not make any sense. Pontus II is way better than the Ares II in every aspect. While Musician Pegasus is another next-level device compared to the Ares II, Pontus II is the best of these three.- squadgazzz

Cascade Headphone by Campfire Audio
I had both of them. The Cascades are a monster bass canon. A very V-shaped signature. Unbeatable bass. Argon MK3 is a bass canon too. But compared to the Cascades, Arogons have much more controlled bass. Sometimes I used EQ with Argons to boost the bass and highs a bit. Also, Argons would be a...- squadgazzz
