I currently have an audigy (1) xgamer ... I heard something about the ZS having better sampling or something along those lines. But, if that's not the case and my gen 1 audigy is fine then I'll stick with it.

okay, the next question then would be really necessary to get an amp to go along with the A900's? Keep in mind I am a gamer first and a casual music listener. I will be building a new PC in the fall so the source will probably be upgraded to the audigy 2 ZS unless there is a better...

Speakers are out because I do most my gaming after the wife and kids go to bed and nobody else in the family like my musical taste. So basically the requirements are headphones that sound great for gaming and music, non amped (requirement may change), and cover the ear (don't rest on it)...

sry for the n00bish questiong but when it says closed design/type does that mean it covers the entire ear?

Paragon, I just read some other reviews on the Grado 325's and it sounds like they don't fully cover the ear ... I find it rather uncomfortable to have the phones resting on my ears. Any other suggestions? Thanx again guys for being so helpful!
