I thought I was going to tear my ear pads apart switching to XL pads. It was worth it though. I can listen all day without discomfort now.

I know compared with the Beats Solo, the M-100's have less bass, more treble, more clarity and distinction between instruments.

Is mass drop not a reputable place to get gear? I haven't purchased from them, but I'v come close.

Less than I expected it would going by what I'v read here. Bass is recessed slightly which brought our the high end and mids a bit, however the bass feels 'punchier'. It still sounds fantastic though. Personally, I work in a research lab coding away all day and wear headphones almost all day...

Got it off. Took me about 7 attempts since I got them to work up the courage to use enough force haha. Loving the comfort of the XL pads so far.

Any advice for a new M-100 owner on swapping out the ear pads? I'v got a pair of XL pads I want to try out, but for the life of me I can't seem to get the stock ones off, even after watching a couple youtube videos. Is there a trick or direction to pull them in?

I have no experience with those Sony buds, but in my general experience, Sony beats Skullcandy in value for your dollar, and both beat iLuv. 

I was tempted to chancel my direct order from V-Moda. If someone plans on getting the engraved shields like I am, it ends up being slightly better to still get the headphones at full price directly since your skipping out on paying for shipping on the engraved shields.

Can't a single button remote work fine with an iPhone? My skull candy ski helmet remote is single button and operates my iPhone just fine.   Single click = pause/play Double click = skip forward Triple click = skip backwards Click and Hold activates Siri which lets you change album...

I'v owned Skullcandy Ink'd headphones before and IMHO they aren’t terrible for the price I usually see them at. I have a set of skull candy ski helmet inserts that sound awesome considering the abuse I subject them to.
