I have that happen from time to time. Usually pressing the reset butting for a few seconds gets it to shutoff and then when I hit power it powers on and boots correctly. Also if you have a 2nd microSD, try removing that before you try booting it

It is pretty slick! Although the display is excessively dim and small. They should have just had like an illuminated STN display so its easily readable in bright sunlight. I also have a Lotoo PAW5000 and it's pretty nice, but it's interface is not quite so well thought out like rockbox is.

I'd try reformatting the sd in 64k cluster size. All of my micro SDs in 16GB or larger seem to be formatted with that by default and they all work. 4K seems awfully small for that microsd size.
