Huh.. if the alpha pads really do alter the performance that much, I might just simply have to buy a pair. Ears rubbing against the drivers is something I just can't take. It's painful, and I hate it. If it gets rid of that, PLUS gives a performance boost soundwise, it's a no brainer.

Well, thing is.. the cheapest I can get myself a pair of A900x is at the price of 270-280$, so at that price, I'd guess they're not worth it? ^^'   EDIT: HOWEVER, I just realised I can get myself a pair of SHP-9500 for 140 bucks. What about those? There's also a possiblity of getting the Shure...
