    HD201 vs HD201 G4ME?

    Anyone have first-hand experience with both? Well my hunch is shared with you all, in that there would be no performance difference with the two. But I guess it doesn't matter anymore since I went ahead and ordered the vanilla 201's.

    HD201 vs HD201 G4ME?

    I was wondering, are there any sound quality differences between these two phones? HD201 HD201 G4ME I'm contemplating buying either one, to pair with a TBAAM, for use with my laptop when I go visit my parents this week. I've read some older posts here on Head-Fi saying that the combo works...

    Why the majority of your CDs sound horrible.

    A favorite track of mine, for sure. But check out the waveform ELLEGARDEN - Salamander:

    ~2 months with Zhaolu -> HD-595. What's next?

    If my Zhaolu can drive the 650 well, I may well and just forgo the 580's and jump ship directly So I guess it's just a decision between the HD-650 and the SR-225 now...

    It's been a little bit over 2 months since I posted this topic, that I almost forgot about it! Quote: Originally Posted by Jon L If you are content, I don't see any reason to change. The old saying really is true. You know which one Hehe, I definitely felt this way for the...

    HD580 just dropped to $125 on amazon.com

    Thanks for the input silverrain, Davesrose. It does seem that I will probably find the 650's more enjoyable, but both of you have striked arguments that make me want the 580 as well I think I may settle on the 580's for now. Once I get a little more cashflow in, I'll jump for the 650's as...

    Already have some 595's, though tempted to jump on this. What kind of a difference in sound signature could I expect? Also, would these have good synergy with a Zhaolu D2C w/ discreet amp? So tempted

    ~2 months with Zhaolu -> HD-595. What's next?

    Hmm, would I be correct in assuming that pairing a bright source with a brighter headphone is usually not a good idea? I defintely want to give some Grado's a shot, but it feels that I may need a new source before spring for a pair. This may be the case too with electrostatics. That said, Audio...

    ~2 months with Zhaolu -> HD-595. What's next?

    Actually, I feel really content for what I have right now. I think I've gotten to the point where any further headphone purchases won't give me drastically better sound quality, but rather different sound signatures and tiny subtle changes. The HD-595 and Zhaolu are really the only 2 decent...

    ~2 months with Zhaolu -> HD-595. What's next?

    Just nearly around 2 months w/ this current setup (Revolution 7.1 -> Zhaolu D2C w/ discreet amp -> HD-595.) This is my first official "Head-fi" setup (prior heard before these include IEM's like e2c's, EX71-LP's.) At first listen, I was not immediately impressed, but after fine-tuning in the...

    AV710 Alternatives?

    Just a head's up but, it seems like the new AV710's have a Envy24PT chip instead of the Envy24HT-S found in the previous ones. Specification comparison of the different Envy models.
