Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Valhalla 2 is, imo, the better pairing here. I like things amped well, so I personally don't like too much tube distortion (even on my HD800). Valhalla gives you tube power and the CHANCE to tube roll for a more traditional tubey sound. Crack sounds a little too tubey for me, which wasn't to...- rmacaisa

Pad Rolling for MrSpeakers Ether & Ether Flow
Hey everyone, I was demoing the MrSpeakers Ether Flow, and let's just say I was blown away in every way except for comfort - which to me the HD800 is still the leader in, with the HEX and HEK second. It's to the extent that I don't want to purchase the Ethers unless I can swap the pads on...- rmacaisa

But they feel (and are) much much less durable (feeling, and in practice) than the higher end...- rmacaisa

@MaceHane2 I honestly think they will be here in ten years. The creaks don't feel like they're going to end in the headband shattering or something - it's moreso an annoyance than a concern. I'm a cheapass, so I was in the same boat as you on this. Keep an eye out for a used pair that you can...- rmacaisa

Review by 'rmacaisa' on item 'HIFIMAN Edition X Over Ear Planar Magnetic Headphones'
Intro ------------- I’m a professional photographer (or something like that) and I live in an apartment. That means that I can’t work in the harmonious glow of high end speakers blasting my face off. Thus, I decided to spend my money on headphones. About Me ------------- I won’t...- rmacaisa
