If you could redo it all...
I don't imagine most people would suggest going straight to the top especially considering most of us, myself included, aren't even at the "top". The top is effing expensive. But I think we've all arrived at this hobby because we enjoy messing around with our set-up and trying different sounds...- ReDVsion

Upgrade from Gilmore V1
After vanishing from this place for a few years, and being relatively content with my current setup, I seem to be making small steps back into the headphone world. First it was re-acquiring my DT880s I sold ages ago. Now I'm wondering if there's a better way to drive them and my K271s. ...- ReDVsion

AKG K 271 Studio
The K 271 Studio is a completely new model that combines the benefits of AKG’s circumaural design for extreme comfort and a closed-back design for maximum isolation from ambient noise. Thanks to its XXL transducers, the K 271 Studio sounds clean, smooth and very rich. The K 271 Studio is the...- ReDVsion

DFW meet impressions
First and foremost my thanks to Alex for putting forth the time and effort to make this all happen. I had a fantastic time and it was nice to see some familiar faces from the last meet I went to. The one thing that always bothers me, though, is trying to match the face with the name with the...- ReDVsion

DFW Meet #3. (Dallas + Ft. Worth)
First of all, many thanks to Zuerst for bringing this meet to my attention. I'm fairly certain I'll be there, but I won't be bringing much; just a K271, Gilmore V1, and a PCDP. Looking forward to it, though!- ReDVsion

Headfi-Recommended DIY Gaming PC!
My recommendations: ~$1000: Link ~$1500: Link I think that for a PC that will also be used for music listening it ought to be reasonably quiet while still being a good performer. Of course there are lots more options for quieting graphics cards outside of the cards I listed in these two...- ReDVsion

Stacked HTPC, looking for advice!
In terms of audio, if what you say about the receiver is true, then the X-fi will be just fine I'm sure. As far as the PC itself is concerned, I'm a quiet-PC nut, so I'm not too fond of your selection, to be blunt. I also don't see why you'd want to blow $630 on a case with a little LCD...- ReDVsion
