Yeah I was looking at the 10ft version of the 6ft one you linked.   I saw this on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/330745297536  The picture is a 1/4" for some reason. But anyway, I'm not sure if I need something longer than 10ft (5ft when cut in half) or if I need the minijack style plug, or...

The 10ft one looks good. I don't need both sides to have a 1/8" plug. but I'm fixing 2 pairs of headphones so I can cut it in half. I just need to be sure it has wires that I can actually solder, not those weird enameled things.
