I'm thinking about buying some EP700s from a member here on this forum.

Firstly, any comments? Are these good cans? Will I need an amp to use them? Any downsides such as too much bass, too little, noise leakage, etc? How comfortable are they?  How do they compare to the Grado sr80s and maybe the ATH-M50s, or the Sure SRH440? (ok, starting to look around now...)
I haven't really "done my research" in terms of looking for exactly what I need in my price range, I figured I'd just get something that is likely pretty nice, all around decent cans. Is there something else that you'd highly recommend over the ep700s? I'm mostly into underground, experimental electronic music (NOT techno or dubstep). I want Aphex Twin to sound perfect on these headphones as well as trip hop, Flying Lotus, etc.

Secondly, how should I be able to tell if these are authentic? After almost buying koss porta pro "storm edition" on  Ebay I feel like you never know what could be fake or not. While these weren't purchased on Ebay, I noticed there are a lot of fakes for sale for cheaper than normal, even one with the crafty single word authenticity disclaimer "OR" (...orange studio headphones).
Here are some pics of the exact pair I am considering from the seller on this forum:

Thanks for any advice deemed necessary!

I'm still waiting... do I detect some pretentious forum members refusing to give precious advice....?
