How many hours is good? The 280s have low bass, but overall the bass isn't loud enough. The thump is missing.- phita23

On that note: How much tack do I need to put in? I have about 1mm of it around the inner ring. Do I also need the tack around the outer ring?- phita23

Here's my dilemma. I own both the HD280 pro and the HD202. I like hip hop, r&b, rap, aka the music you guys frown upon Therefore naturally, I like the boom boom of the bass. I only intend to keep one pair. HD280 + overall sound + comfort + feels like a quality product - lacking in...- phita23

I hooked it up to my MP3 player, and it doesn't seem to have booming bass Maybe I'm expecting too much? But I hope not, for ~$100 headphones. // edit // The akg270 pro is out of my price range Aren't there any sub 100, or even sub $50 that have some bass thumping?- phita23
