I agree. It just depends if your main focus is the system or the experience. There does tend to be a cross over point between those two perspectives.

It’s a good test. It’s the same for me. I’ll often gasp at a passage, exclaim out loud or on occasion shed a tear. When the music is able to do that I’m happy with my system.

I had this happen to me once and I reset as you did. It happened a second time and I realise then that the volume indicators were all off. I was carrying the Mojo at the time and probably manage to hold the volume down button in.

I did have one MFi09R fail. The classic white noise issue, which happen more frequently over time. I bought a couple more of the straight version, MFi09S, and now make sure I am very careful not to pull on the wire.

I regularly get more than 7 or 8 hours. I use mine while travelling and listen end to end on long haul flights. London to San Diego a couple of weeks ago. I turned it off while I ate dinner but that was a 11 hour flight. I must have listen for at least 9 hours.

The simple answer to all this is read what you like, watch what you like, buy what you like and listen to what you like. Ignore all the rest

How about a dual button press, like for mute, to register the current volume? Menu plus down volume could make sense. You could also set a maximum volume with menu and up volume. Maximum might be a nice option for those who let their kids use their kit.

The designer reads this forum and often contributes. Absolutely no harm in discussing what users see as good or bad features. Of course, give the return to factory firmware update, this is all just wishful thinking but it might plant seeds for future products. Edit: I see Rob already jumped in…
