The iBasso Dongle DAC Thread – DC03 Pro | DC04 Pro | DC06 Pro | DC Elite | ...
I have exactly the same issue. It's super annoying. I was googling for this and found your answer. Normally it works fine but I'm in the train now and just stops randomly. Hopefully back at my laptop it will work...- pablobaluba

The iBasso Dongle DAC Thread – DC03 Pro | DC04 Pro | DC06 Pro | DC Elite | ...
I have received the DC04 Pro and i have to admit it's quite nice. The Z12 sounds very very well and detailed. I like it quite a lot. However, does anyone the unbalanced vs balanced differences? Is there any reason why not to use the 4.4 balanced termination? does it consume more power? Any sound...- pablobaluba

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best
Can anyone briefly compare the differences between KA5 and DC04 (and maybe FC4)? Are all sounding neutral or is one of them slightly warmer? I prefer a slight treble dampening/bass emphazis if possible, but i can't really find direct comparisons between them. Does any of these support also mic ...- pablobaluba

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best
Thanks for the answers all. I was not aware of the DC04 Pro model. I read only good things about it. I reduce my selection now between Hiby FC4 and DC04Pro, but can't find a direct comparison yet. I guess either would be great in my situation.- pablobaluba

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best
Hi guys, I'm looking for a good DAC dongle for the Android Phone/Laptop, to work well with the Letshuoer z12 (planar), up to 130eur range. I have 3 options so far: Moondrop Dawn 4.4, Hiby FC4 or Fiio KA5? I'm more oscillating between the last two? Any recommendation or is there any other...- pablobaluba

Advice on swappable plug 3.5mm for Chimera cable termination
So I got a Chimera cable with the new Z12 purchased. However, i have a problem with the 3.5mm termination which is a TRS, i would like a TRRS plug. Basically my stupid samsung phone has problems with the TRS plug, but not TRRS (took me a week to realize the cause). So for me the simplest...- pablobaluba

Basic setup advice for nowadays music/tech (dac, iem, streaming)
I was thinking to jump directly into the 200-300$ range. No matter how good the IEMs have become today in the sub 100$ bracket, i think the difference vs Blon-03 cannot be too noticeable. I would rather go with something like 7Hz Timeless AE or something similar as l can afford it. i'm afraid i...- pablobaluba

Basic setup advice for nowadays music/tech (dac, iem, streaming)
I see. I forgot to mention, i am talking about YTM Premium (not the regular version), so I assume the quality is higher, i understood something like 256kbps AAC, which should be quite decent.- pablobaluba

Basic setup advice for nowadays music/tech (dac, iem, streaming)
Thanks for the answer! Should i understand from your answer that file quality/source file is above the Dac/amp ? (we are excluding now really crappy formats like 96kbps...) Would changing YTM to Tidal would make a bigger difference vs phone dac/dedicated dac?- pablobaluba

[FiiO KA5]FiiO Portable DAC and Headphone Amplifier, Multifunctional local OS | OLED display | Dual CS43198 DACs | PCM 768kHz/32bit | DSD256 | 3.5+4.4 dual outputs | App connectivity
I found more sources like this: https://switchandclick.com/will-a-dac-improve-spotify-sound-quality/ on google where it says: "For streaming music through Spotify, a standalone DAC will make little difference in the sound quality. Most devices already have an effective internal DAC." This is...- pablobaluba

I'm thinking to buy a portable DAC (mainly to use with a Samsung phone or laptop ocasionally). I'm looking at KA5, but would it make a difference considering that I listen mainly to YouTube Music (not the best quality service)? Or the difference would be marginal if any? I also don't want to...- pablobaluba

Hi all, Old user, but took a break of a few years and a lot has changed since then. Looking for new quality bassy IEMs
Hi all, I'm quite an old user and i started my adventure into audio on this forum (which also made me spend some money). Regarding IEMs, I had in the past the GR07 bass (which I loved!, that's why i had them 2 times), but unfortunately even the second pair broke after 1.5 years... RHA MA750...- pablobaluba

Head-Fi Basshead IEM thread (lists page 1)
I need to buy a new pair of IEM as I just lost my previous one in the Airport last week. So I'm deciding between Sony XB90EX or AD01 ? I'll be using them from player+amp, but also phone some times. Does the Sony really need amp? I was really curious to check them as I heard good things...- pablobaluba
