ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs
How well does the mk2 take eq? (Bass boost of course haha) I found when I tried to eq up the mid bass on the original, it started to feel flabby and undefined. Overall, while the sub bass was high I was kind of disappointed overall with the bass quality. If mk2 substantially increases the bass...- overstepss

FWIW after owning them for awhile they no longer hurt my ears. Maybe my ears have stretched out haha (I did start with already large ears though.)- overstepss

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
Does anyone here have opinions about how EQ'd LCD 2s sound compared to Anandas? Conventional wisdom states that they should have better bass but less soundstage. No idea if that is actually true though haha- overstepss

Sony budget earphone discussion thread (MH750, MH755, MH1C, EX300, etc)
I have to say, I've tried a few more iems (kzx, vrn 90, galaxy buds pro, monarchs), but I've been super impressed with the bass (for the price, of course). It is a bit one note and lacking definition, but it really is satisfying.- overstepss

Yeah it’s interesting how the different cup shapes is a distinguishing factor among hifiman models. I wonder if the sonic differences are purely coincidental or if there’s is something fundamental about the egg or circle shape that leads to sonic differences. does anyone here have experience...- overstepss

So overall I love my monarchs and I’m happy with my purchase. However, I do find the bass lacking definition even after EQing the mid bass up. I’m guessing if I wanted an comparable option with better bass I’d either have to spend much more money (iezr1 or legend se)?- overstepss

FWIW, I got an A/B switch, volume matched the best I could and couldn't really tell the difference between my macbook pro, atom amp, or little dot 1+. But your ears may vary.- overstepss

Thanks for the insight! Thanks for the insight! Yes, I've tried eq'ing the lower end in a variety of ways, but it always seem to be missing some impact. (relative to dynamic driver closed backs) I'm not sure if it's an open back thing, planar thing, or just in my head, but that's why I was...- overstepss

Does the Arya have any more slam than the Ananda? Or is it the case that if I want a planar with a similar tonality but more slam I have to get the susvara? haha- overstepss
