Hey all! I saw the Liquid platinum on sale and was wondering if anyone had any experience pairing it with the caldera and how good a combo it is. I'm using the Asgard 3 and was wondering if it would be an upgrade for the caldera.

Classical music is the only reason I've reached for my 800S since receiving my Caldera. Stock leather pads seemed to help in comparison to the suede, but it is definitely not the best genre fit for the headphones.

I also had issues swapping pads when I was A/Bing the stock and suede and testing the Caldera pads on a VO. I had to get a friend to swap them for me and even he said it was much more difficult than the Verite.

I saw someone switch from a sus to a utopia at Canjam and forget to adjust the amp between. Those poor beryllium drivers were crying.

Overall great experience, package was shipped shortly after payment and was quick to provide shipping information.

Quick question, sorry if it's been covered already, I understand that the sale for the caldera ends tomorrow, does that mean midnight tonight will be the final day to purchase it on sale or will the 5th be the final day?

To whomever has had the opportunity to listen to it on their own solid state amps, how source picky is the Caldera? I enjoyed it at canjam but I'm worried my Asgard 3 wouldn't do it justice.

Clear MG is pretty good for metal with EQ, while I find the presentation of the 800S too wide to be enjoyable for the genre.

Live performances are often just as much if not more about the environment than the music. I prefer listening to a live performance on an 800S, but can't get the same sense of joy.

a 6 screw or utopia would probably be the best bet for contemporary music.

Alternative take, but saving up more, and getting a used 800 sounds like the best idea for what you're looking for.
