Testing volumes for headphones, what is a safe listening volume?
*Just noticed this specific forum - this post is more relevant here. I apologise if this is a topic already being/recently discussed. I've had a search of the forums and any similar, cogent, discussion seems to have taken place a few years ago. I wonder what difference a newer crowd on...- nosracl

Disappointing problems with HD650's
Quote: I'm sure it will be useful, they'll be arriving in a few days. I'll gain perspective, whichever I decide I prefer. The danger is that I'll decide after a while that I like both for different reasons, and I'll end up wanting to keep them. We'll see. @IEMCrazy (specifically)...- nosracl

Testing safe volume levels for headphones.
I apologise if this is a topic already being/recently discussed. I've had a search of the forums and any similar, cogent, discussion seems to have taken place a few years ago. I wonder what difference a newer crowd on the forums, and newer technology, will make. After some mild, temporary...- nosracl

Disappointing problems with HD650's
Quote: It's possible. When you say 'mental age', meaning more mature musical tastes? I'm pretty keen on everything really. I did try the HD650's with some Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov, etc. I get what you mean though. I'll bear it in mind, thanks for your help.- nosracl

Disappointing problems with HD650's
Thanks for all of the posts in reply. I'd like to clarify that the problem I have with mid-range sounds probably isn't as bad as you guys think. It's more that I jumped from a £20 set of Sony headphones to these, and I was expecting to be blown away. I've tried/used high quality headphones...- nosracl

Disappointing problems with HD650's

The mid-ranges, in a sense, seem cluttered together - morphing into one, unclear sound. What do you think? ...- nosracl

Disappointing problems with HD650's
So, I recently bought some HD650's, and a Burson Audio HA-160DS Headphone amplifier / DAC to accompany them. After a few days of on-and-off listening, I'm feeling a little disappointed. I've been listening through my iTunes Library, trying out all different types of genre, but I'm just not...- nosracl

AC adapter for use with Burson Audio HA-1060DS DAC/Headphone amplifier
Hello all. Having just received my new Burson HA-1060DS in the post, I have suddenly realised that it's got a 2-pin AC plug instead of a UK 3-pin. Obviously, I'll need to find an adapter. My question is: what kind should I buy, and which one is safest/best for the Burson amp? I don't...- nosracl
