I would love to know how the sound compares and is there anything on the market with a USB DAC that would be comparable. I am using it to drive Grado RS1's but have just bought a pair of Audio Technica ATH M50 headphones for mobile music. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I am thinking of upgrading my sound card in my G5 has anyone got any suggestions? At some point I would like to add a decent dac to that as well. At the moment I am using a Total Bithead via USB and although I am happy with the sound feel that I could improove on this.

Any can you need a headphone amp to get the best out of it. Go Vibe do a nice amp for $69 or $89. Go line out via the dock using the Sik adapter and you'll be there.

Just been told that there are no Opamps in the AE-1 so that cleared that up.
