Audeze LCD-2 Closed
I found something while searching on Google. He implies that the LCD-2CB is faster than the Eikon, detail retrieval is as good or better, and bass slam is equally good. However, he says that the tone is not as natural and that there's something seriously wrong in the mid-range. This doesn't...- nhoclesnar

Has anyone compared these to a ZMF Eikon or Atticus? How does the bass and the tonality compare in particular?- nhoclesnar

Overdriving headphones very briefly - damage?
Your headphones shouldn't have any damage. If they were plugged to a desktop or a small amp, there wouldn't be enough power to do any harm. If anything, I would be more worried about your eardrums.- nhoclesnar

Reviews + impressions thread: Final Audio Design Pandora Hope VI (interesting dynamic + BA full size headphones)
Thanks. Do you know what kind of pads would tame the high a bit? The high on these are kinda piercing at times. How would a pair of fenestrated sheepskin pads do?- nhoclesnar

JVC HP-DX1000 Owners Unite!
Is there even an upgrade to these headphones? How are those pads holding up? Or do you think original pads are still better? I believe Rakuten has the original pads for $50+ a pair.- nhoclesnar

I have the wood version Nighthawks. What are the best pads for them? Some people say it's the leather boost pads, can I buy those separately?- nhoclesnar

HE-400 vs HD650
Well, that's the problem. All of them are supposed to sound good and worth buying, so I constantly feel unsettled that there might something better out there for my money that I haven't tried. I end up not being able to find peace until I have tried everything people recommended. It's the reason...- nhoclesnar

HE-400 vs HD650
Hey OP, sorry for digging up this 2-month-old thread, but I have a few questions about the HD650 and the HE400. Originally, I wanted to try out the HE400 since many people compliment on its great bass. I usually listen to sad pop songs with high vocal and occasionally deep bass, so the bass...- nhoclesnar

Need Recommendation: AKG K240 vs JVC HA-RX900
Wow thank you! I read an extensive review comparing the CAL!, M50, and the Sennheiser Momentum and found the CAL! quite into my liking. So I ordered a used pair for $50 and am awaiting their arrival. I also ordered two pairs of Polk Audio Buckle headphones because they are on sale for super...- nhoclesnar

Need Recommendation: AKG K240 vs JVC HA-RX900
Thank you for all the replies so far! I will use the headphones mostly on my desktop computer which doesn't have a dedicated sound card. Because honestly, I think my integrated sound card sounds as good as a dedicated one anyway. I bought a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX to test out my...- nhoclesnar
