    wow... i just read that mod instruction post for the denon md5000. i wanna do it!!! buddy raves big time about how good they sound. now if i can find the original d5000 for under $400 that would be sweet!

    sounds like im in the market for 2 pairs of phones... decisions decisions grados are a must have for my metal... maybe the 225's? movies and classical? need a little more help there

    amp later... probably the travagan white amp. this headphone is gonna be for music and movies. comfort is madadory... dont wanna cut up the ear pads or do any recableing.... for now. music=metal and classical movies= horror, and war budget= no more than $350 Beyerdynamic DT880 denon...

    iems make my ears itch after about an hour... no can do on those. sooo... y'all think those denons will produce too much bass for metal. i know it would sound killer for movies. i watch mostly horror and war flicks

    well... i need these phones for going on tour. they have to be quiet for everybody else on the bus and very comfortable. im sure the grados totally rule for metal, but i seriously dought you could wear them for hours and hours. those denons look pretty good.
