    I wouldn't know for sure, they use different DAC modules, r2r DA8 for r2r11 and DA7 for r2r 7 (audio-gd likes putting 7 to top end modules), I suppose it would be much better though.     I do, Master-7. I found that the tonality of the r2r11 is better than the Master-7 when I hooked it to the Master-8. Though it falla short on soundstage and detail by a lot.

    Your specific use seems like DAC only, given that you send it to a preamp. If you will not use headphones, R2R 2 seems like a better option. EDIT: ouch but it's 400 usd more expensive

    Do you mean through the optical/coaxial output of your TV or the analog output of your TV. KingWa states that a TV or console may not have enough signal for the DACs input, I could give it a try with a PS3 when I have time.

    The difference between this ladder dac and master-7 is very evident in the tonality of some instruments, that sound more realistic now. The combo is very punchy, and smooth at the same time, it does however fall short on detail, and some instruments may sound a bit strange, I may need more burn in.

    It tested it a while more, and I can say the the amp section of r2r 11 is not neutral, it's dark, and has more pronounced bass, but it still is well done. If the headpone is ultra detailed and expensive, maybe choosing r2r 2(only dac) might be a better desition

    Subscribed. I've also purchased a r2r11 to test this analog goodness. I have a Master-7 and 8, so I'll be testing it solo, and as a DAC feeding Master-8 to see how it fairs. I'll get it in about a month though... EMS :)
