After using the headphones for 6 years, the left driver died on me :c. A closer inspection shows that the painted metal parts end up breaking and falling on the driver, note to hifiman, please don't paint them.

Would you say a HEKV2 needs more power than an Arya Stealth now? A HEKSE on the other hand surely does not?
Yes HEKV2 needs more power than Arya Stealth. I just had both a week ago.

Guys, any recommendation for a headphone stand for HIFIMAN HE1000?

The Woo Audio Adjustable Headphone Stand
It is adjustable to be tall enough for the big oval ear cups. And you also have the option to hang the headphone band by the metal part instead of the leather strap. So that the leather strap doesn't get deformed or stretched.

This is essential with the way the fully suspended headband is designed.

Yup! And if something with that leather strap goes wrong, it's easier to replace just that part rather than the entire headband.

Does Hifiman still source them, how much it cost, can't find anything on web site?

I think they should be available, at least as long as cans built upon the same headband and strap are in the manufacturer's offer.

I've started hanging Susvara by the metal part. :)

That looks great, but if that upper piece is aluminium, I'd probably use a thin piece of rubber to not scratch it or the headband. Unless it works well as is?

I'll just be careful putting it on the stand and taking it out. Bit of a chore but that's life. :)
