UE700s broke! Looking to upgrade
Yeah, it happened. The right driver cut in and out for a few hours, then it finally died. I enjoyed the sound signature and I'm looking mostly for IEMs, but I have no issue with full-sized headphones. So basically, I'm looking for something with a sound signature similar to the UE700, with a...- MisterDeadeye

Ety HF5 or Klipsch X10? (SAME PRICE)
Well, the Klipsch are part of the Gold Box deals, so if you're interested even slightly, I'd jump on them(75% off is crazy).- MisterDeadeye

Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!
Quote: Well, I'm willing to go with IEMs, it's just that I've always been disappointed with what I've tried. I haven't gone aftermarket for tips, but I just tried my girlfriend's UE600s again, and with the foam tips, they're fairly comfortable, and surprisingly, didn't fall out. Which...- MisterDeadeye

Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!
Hey guys, I'm looking for a pair of headphones for use with a tablet. Low impedance, obviously, and portable(small enough to fit in a small compartment in a backpack, or hopefully, in a pocket. My biggest problem so far has been that my ears haven't fit any in-ears or earbuds that I've tried...- MisterDeadeye

Is burn in real?
This isn't an issue of a "belief" one way or the other. It's real, and it's been measured with different types of dynamic drivers several times. Some people just can't possibly believe something that they can't wrap their minds around. There are people who don't believe we're on a sphere...- MisterDeadeye

Headphone Loaner Survey
So, one would have to pay for shipping and a deposit to audition some phones. How long do people get to keep them before you start charging extra? What if someone tries to steal the headphones from you? Will you be selling personal information to different companies? Would this program be...- MisterDeadeye

Good pair of cans under $100.
Quote: I second these. I bought a pair as a Christmas present this year, and I like them for gaming more than my Shure SRH440s. They differently have a different sound, which I didn't like at first(listened to them for a few hours, right out of the box -- no burn in). Eventually...- MisterDeadeye

Quote: Shure SRH440s are very good for the price. They're fairly neutral, while slightly coming off as a little bright without an EQ at the highest volume I listen to(without an amp). While I say they're bright, I don't mean that they are harsh. They're far from harsh, but I feel the...- MisterDeadeye

Okay, I'm looking for a Christmas present for a friend. Budget of less than $100. He listens mostly to hip-hop, but also has plenty of other kinds of music. He wants deep, impactful bass, without feeling bloated and artificial. Sony XB series are out of the question. Open/closed doesn't...- MisterDeadeye

Absolutely Confused, Looking at SRH440,840, AKG K271, ATH M50. Help
Quote: Are the 440s different with an amp? I've had mine for a year or so, and my biggest complaint has always been how bright they tend to be at monitoring volume. I had been planning on buying a pair of Senn HD 600s to diversify my selection, but if the Shures sound better with an...- MisterDeadeye
