DUNU - Discussion/Impressions Master Thread
@DUNU-Topsound the new Concept-R looks great! Any information on when it will be on sale and for how much? I have a few extra questions: - Does it have a digital output (optical/coax)? - Does it have RCA line-out? - Does it have USB-DAC functionality? - Can it work as a CD ripper/drive with...- Mightygrey

Best office headphone of 2024 - black friday edition
TBH they aren't noticeable at all in a normal office with a lower-than-average amount of ambient noise. My next-door-neighbour has never heard a peep from mine, and she's about 1.5 metres away.- Mightygrey

Introducing NOIRE X
Congrats Dan + team, these look great. My OG Noires are due for an earpad replacement (foam rolling + pleather disintegrating), are you selling the new Noire X earpads as accessories and are they compatible with the v1.0 Noire?- Mightygrey

Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]
Here's an interesting exchange I had with ChatGPT to help find an EQ solution using the Mojo 2: I own a Chord Mojo 2 which has adjustable equaliser settings to change the frequency response of headphones. It has four separate controls which affect the following:1. Raises or lowers frequencies...- Mightygrey

You shouldn't need an adapter. Pull off the 6.3mm jack, there's a 3.5mm underneath.- Mightygrey

Ultimate Ears LIVE Impressions Thread
This parametric EQ setting (Crinacle) has honestly transformed my experience with the UE Live, and it's shot to the top of my collection with a rocket. It now sounds muddy and wooly without it:- Mightygrey

For my first Custom IEM ($4K).
They don't generally sound "better" than their universal equivalents, but they'll sound more consistently good thanks to their seamless fit and the varying sound and reliability of tips. I'd suggest trying the universal versions of a few different types of IEMs before taking the plunge...- Mightygrey

Yes, you can use them passively with an amplifier via a cable. Just switch them off first. Yes, this will bypass the DAC/amp.- Mightygrey

Where can I buy Drop thx panda headphones new ?
I highly recommend avoiding the Pandas. Nearly a 100% "brick" rate, with practically zero support from the manufacturer.- Mightygrey

If you had $10k and were starting from scratch…
This is a great question. I've been in the hobby for about ten years, and I've bought/sold/traded/acquired a ton of gear over the years. I've learned plenty about what's important to me: - Comfort - Tuning > technicalities - Bright > dark - Great user interface + connectivity (DACs) -...- Mightygrey

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
Anyone have a fix/solution for the creaking of the headband as it self-adjusts when you move around while wearing the 99's? Unfortunately, it can take you out of the "zone" while you're enjoying music.- Mightygrey
