Could you comment on durability on these? Eg, after how many days/hours of usage, you would need to replace them? Since nkoulban says he replaces them often.

How long have you had them, Head Directs Build quality and durability is not the best in the business. Same happened with a pair of RE2s TWICE, but only on one side. Do yours sound the same (muffled) on both IEMs? (right and left). My last RE2 pair, the headphone jack just gave in and...

Slaters70, Yah I don't really care much about not being able to make calls, adding a microphone IMO, just adds another breakable part :P Right now, I've pretty much narrowed it down to MC5 and HF5, as I can't say I will have a better source (eg not a DAP) to justify buying the ERP4.

Yeah I figured, since the RE2s are 32ohm and creative xfi2 drives them nicely, so 27ohms on the ERP4 will sound a bit louder. Though I never play any of my music "loud".

Well if no one has anything else to add in the ERP4 Vs. HF5 vs. MC5, I guess ERP4 it is.

How would the ERP4 fair against the MC5? or HF5 for that matter? And would a creative zen vision:m/X-fi2/iphone3gs be able to drive these?

Yeah i've had 2 issues with Head direct, customer support is Superb BUTT the etys come with a 2 year warranty, where as the RE0 only 1 and frankly, I come from a pair of busted RE2s (for the second time) and even though the RE2s sound quality is amazing, I can say the just felt cheap and poorly...

Rawster my budget is pretty much $200 under, the problem is that the DBA 02 are soldout almost everywhere and I considered the HF5 but I figured since the MC5 are newer, they "would" probably sound better? I'm open to suggestions though, so please, by all means! Shoot! Also they need to have...

Slaters70, I've read through this whole thread, have a couple of questions.   Comparing the MC5 to the RE0 in terms of:   1. Durability/Build Quality/cable strain Reliefs 2. Sound quality ( Though from what i've read RE0 is slightly better, but how much would you rate said difference...

I saw budgen audio, just didn't think of them as a reputable store. Guess I'll have to wait, though being with my crappy  creatieve erp630 for such a long time is yuck! Becase that means early/mid august delivery in any case.   Does anyone have any thoughts on the new Etys MC5s?

Rawster, could you link me to a place that sells the DBA 02 online and ships to the US? as the only place that I know of is amazon.com and "buy fischer audio dba2 " on google proves no results other than their own website.   And yes, REs do seem rather cheaply build, from my own experience...

Well,  than I've no idea what to chose ! The options are either unavaible or soldout DBA 2 seems nice, but no reputable website has 'em :S   perhaps  IE7? or ety MC5?   Man... the more I read the less I'm able to decide !

Guys, what about the panasonic  hi end zirconia earbud? or the Audéo Phonak PFE 122 ? Compared to the above?
