I currently have the ATH-A900 headphones. Are the Z1000 enough of an upgrade to justify their price? Are there any other closed headphones that rival the Z1000 in its price range?

Can someone please find out and tell me if you can put mp3s converted to 192 atrac on Sony HDD players?

Any Sony HDD player, if music is encoded right out of a CD to atrac, then it is gapless. Hence at any atrac compression quality, you have perfectly gapless music. If you have mp3s, it's not possible, but the gap is really small.
