**Tube or Solid State**
Quote: Yes... in the 50s... When recording was an expensive, difficult nightmare. When headphones were just terrible and everything was on vinyl. When the world didn't know what quality was, and a modern MP3 at 24kbps would have sounded like heaven. And oh yes, vinyl, the staple...- Lumify

**Tube or Solid State**
When musicians are brought into the discussion, the whole argument gets twisted. Tube amps work really great for individual instruments, but I haven't heard of anyone actually using them for an entire band at once, i.e. a PA system. That's insanity. You often want the guitar to have that timbre...- Lumify

HD6xx cable market prices
It's really not my friend. Those searches are my enemy. All of the prices are removed after a sale. The only prices I could find were people selling the cables with headphones. -
HD6xx cable market prices
How much do the popular Sennheiser HD600 replacement cables sell for used, i.e. Equinox, Mobius, Cardas, and the Moon Audio cables? I've found that their advertised prices are often higher than the headphones themselves, but I don't see anyone actually selling the used cables for that much. For...- Lumify

La Figaro 339
I had no idea how difficult it would be to hold that camera and show what I was doing at the same time. Now I feel sorry for all those badly shot videos on Youtube that get lousy ratings! The description describes what I'm doing throughout the video. That's 0 vs -100dB (negative 100) in...- Lumify

La Figaro 339
Quote: Me neither, but I checked it several times with various equipment. If you don't believe it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhsDjX5Ycu0 It's rather long and terribly videoed, but it shows beyond a reasonable doubt that the channels were reversed. The red RCA jack is right channel...- Lumify

La Figaro 339
A while back, I bought a La Figaro 339. The left and right channels were reversed, and I requested a refund. After offering to repair the amp (I declined), I promptly received return instructions. La Figaro's excellent customer service is another reason to buy with confidence.- Lumify

Sennheiser HD6xx versions
I have read that different versions of the HD600 and HD650 exist. One type has silver drivers, one doesn't, one has a silver screen, one doesn't. Does anyone have a full, specific list of versions? If not, let's make one!- Lumify

Help me find a realistic amp for $800 or less
I don't mean to revive a dead thread, but one more question. If the Objective2 is so deadly accurate, what do the other expensive amps like the CEntrance DACmini have for the extra money? Is it really only coloration and bragging rights?- Lumify

Why do people edit the price to $old?
I searched. When I search, all I find is a bunch of idiotic posts about how the OP should search. Oh look, we're continuing the tradition. edit- But thanks to those who actually gave an answer.- Lumify

Why do people edit the price to $old?
Why do people edit the price of an item that has been sold to "$old"? It's really annoying when I want to see how much something is selling for. Is it ok to ask the seller how much they sold the item for?- Lumify

Help me find a realistic amp for $800 or less
I've read around a little bit, and I saw one thread that was really hating on the CEntrance Mini's amp. They're saying that it's just a DAC with an amp built into the side of it. I've also heard that it doesn't have the power to drive high impedance headphones, like the Sennheiser HD650 for...- Lumify

Help me find a realistic amp for $800 or less
Yay replies! It's been a busy day, but now that I'm at work, I have some time to waste on the internet. I'm looking at the CEntrance DACmini as an option. From the impressions I've read so far, it looks like a good buy. I wasn't really thinking of an integrated amp/DAC, but I'm in the...- Lumify
