Project Sunrise II or Schiit Lyr

Quote:   Hey, sorry for the very delayed response. I wanted to give the Project Sunrise II (PS2) a thorough testing before forming my opinion on it.  Here's a picture of the combo on my desk, I really love how the amp looks!         My test setups: PC - HT Omega Claro...

I'm not very impressed by my new AD700s

Quote:   I'm not aware of any audio receivers that are $40 or less, maybe your best bet would be to look on Craigslist at that point, or save up.

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**

Quote:   I have heard something similar, when I was listening to some music one time. It sounded like a 'whack!' from the left ear driver. Immediately I took it off, and was thinking, what the hell was that? lol. It was sort of loud, and was right next to my ear, so it was pretty worried...

Quote:   They definitely felt heavy to me at first, since I was used to mainly plastic headphones (see the ones in my signature). You get used to it after a bit. Also, if you use the velour pads, it supposedly adds 35g to the weight.   I have a fairly wide/large head compared to most...

    = Hifiman HE500 & HE400 Jergpad Mod v2.5 =

Here's my attempt at the first part of the mod:      My second pad, the first one wasn't too pretty. The foam is peeking out a little because of the size of the holes.   I opted for larger holes instead of small+medium because the scissors I used to cut the holes weren't...

    = Hifiman HE500 & HE400 Jergpad Mod v2.5 =

For part 1 of the mod, instead of doing the medium sized holes and then small ones on the inside; What if you just did very large holes that were the size of both small and mediums together? Are medium & small sized holes used to keep the integrity/structure of the fabric?

HD 598 connected to x41 Base with ModMic

I imagine it would be fine to plug the 598's into the base.   The modmic can't connect directly to the controller though from what I've heard. Someone tried to just use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm with the modmic but that didn't work out. People say you need something like the Astro Mixamp to use it on...

Help.....Need recovery discs for HP G71 laptop

Quote:   Also, in this link there is a section talking about putting the recovery CD onto a bootable USB drive. That's a good option if you don't want to use discs.    Or if those don't work out, you could possibly just install a regular copy of Windows, and then download the HP...

Quote:   Haha, I almost had the same exact experience as you, except my starting amplifier wasn't as nice as the Little Dot. Plugged my HE-400's into my roommate's setup with a receiver a few days ago, and it was so much livelier and fun sounding, especially with the improved bass...

Headphones you regretted buying the most

Ultrasone 580 because the pads were too uncomfortable for me. They have the hardest pleather pads I have ever tried.

    HE-500 Review and Shoot out.

Quote:   I don't think that'll cut it. I tried a Fiio E11 with my HE-400 which is supposed to be easier to drive, and it didn't do much for it besides volume, and bass boost function. The dynamics weren't fully there, so it sounded very plain.

    Best gaming mice

I mainly use a Razer Deathadder and Logitech G400. They are both perform pretty well.    Razer has some quality issues though, both me and my brother's started to double-click on a single left click after a while, and they will only give refurbished replacements if they do. My brother had to...

    indeed G2

Quote:   Unless the deal for the 570 is insanely good, I wouldn't go for it. I've seen 660's go for ~180-190, and 660Ti's go for $220, and they are stronger cards without a doubt. (http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2012-vga-gpgpu/benchmarks,135.html)
