The Member of the Trade doesn't account for the cube (I wear a few different hats), but yes. :)

Mine is abysmal if I don't have good music available. And the ritualistic nature of vinyl is calming, when things get stressful. Audio yoga. :)

Thanks! It's an ACHS-1 Panel clock from a Soviet Mig - my cousin in Belarus sent it to me, but they come up on the auction site all the time for ~$75-100.

    Post Your Photography Here #2

I think the HDR went a bit overboard. A quick side by side tweak. If you don't mind my doing so. Original on the bottom.

I see what he means though - it's like there is some HDR attempt at knocking down the specular highlights in the sun and clouds (especially noticeable where the sky meets the trees on the top left), and it's causing some weirdness. Sadly - sometimes a shot you really want just doesn't work out...

Electro Magnetic Amplifier Co. 535SE Headphone Amplifier/Preamplifier

New transformers should be arriving in the next day or two. I'll try to get an updated shipping date from Steve once he's got it in his hot little hands. Thanks for your patience! L

So far nothing drastic - we might add a switch to change between pre-amp and headphone out, rather than using the switching jack. Our transformer supplier has also changed some dimensions, so we are going to have to redesign the board a bit to accommodate. I'm sure as we go through development...

Electro Magnetic Amplifier Co. 535SE Headphone Amplifier/Preamplifier

We're glad too. :) So, 535SE is a bit complicated. The first iteration of amps had a production dimension that had some element .515 inches from the top of the amp. Steve liked the number, so it became the 515. Next circuit became the 525, and now we are at the 535. The SE could either be...

They are lovely. We actually use them as input transformers (they are microphone transformers). Our output is in the Bipolar followers attached to the enormous custom heatsink.

    EMAC 535SE Impressions Thread

Last bits being delivered this morning (yay shipping delays). Since these are solid state, there should not be noticeable 'burn-in' changes. We do run them for a period to test the primary chips and make sure no magic blue smoke is trying to escape, if there will be any audible change due to...

Not necessarily. We have a few orders that were cancelled due to our delay, so we'll have a number available from the first run. I just don't know when the input transformers will be delivered for those units, so I don't want to promise an availability date yet.

    EMAC 535SE Impressions Thread

Sorry for the lack of communication. We are not dead - it's just been complicated. I should opt for more communication rather than less, but my tendency is to clam up until I am sure, and in this situation, sure is hard to come by. Barring anything else unforeseen (and we've had enough of...
