My other Ultimate is Matt’s previous wooden chassis ultimate. I don’t mind which Ultimate I keep for they are both fantastic, but I feel the silver Ultimate is easier to move on due to price.

Last night i played my Ultimate with EL3N with Focal Clears. Previously i did not get along with the Clears for in comparison to the Grados they were UNCLEAR! But with the fast dynamic EL3Ns the Focals sound very nice. Lots off deep down bass, but most importantly they sound fast and dynamic.

I think Double boxing is the way to go with all postage.

Im also loving it with EL3N tube as well. Sounds like a completely different amp compared to KT66. With the El3N everything is fast and exciting. Leading edge is sharp like a razor blade. At the same time it is NOT bright. KT66 EL3N EL34 The 3 above are my fav tubes. I find power tubes...

Hehe. Matt got me into Tube buying spree. Spent about 2k on tubes, such as KT66, El34s, ECC35, GEC 2900 etc...... Got too many tubes.
