Focal Bathys or B&W PX8 or ...?
I experienced the same thing. The bass on the Bathys became much cleaner after a few hours of playing in. And deeper. I also lowered the 125 Hz and 250 Hz frequencies in the poweramp app, and for me the sound is even cleaner. With the flat EQ, the bass blurs the mids a bit, which I don't like...- Launedernatur

Focal Bathys - Wireless ANC Over-Ear Headphone
No, dont't have Qobuz. But meanwhile, I managed to play music from the UAPP app, including volume control. Before, IF there was music audible, only in max volume. Not adjustable. But I had to reset the app, so it would initialise the Bathys again. Still no sound in USB-C mode with Tidal or...- Launedernatur

It works, I think, with the Hiby or the UAPP-Player, but not with Apple Music. But I quit that service anyway.- Launedernatur

If I want to connect the Bathys with my Hiby RS6 by cable, I have to use the 3,5mm cable. USB-C not working either.- Launedernatur

Focal Bathys - Wireless ANC Over-Ear Headphone
No, I don’t really think. And same as you obviously do, I have no other explanation for the fact, that the DAP plays louder than the iPhone- Launedernatur

Focal Bathys - Wireless ANC Over-Ear Headphone
The DAP is much more powerful as the iPhone (max. volume on iPhone means ca. 70% for my Hiby RS6). This is one of the reasons, why I listen with the DAP and not the iPhone. And the DAP has 100 steps in volume, so finer adjusting, more storage doesn't cost a fortune and most important, aptx...- Launedernatur

Focal Bathys - Wireless ANC Over-Ear Headphone
Same here. I feel like they are sounding better with every new day. Even the ANC became better and the soundstage wider. No explanation for that.- Launedernatur

Additionally they‘re significantly louder in BT-Mode when the source is a DAP (Hiby R6 2020 here) compared to the iPhone (13Pro)- Launedernatur
