Sennheiser IE80 VS Sennheiser HD598se
Yeah I've heard good things about the HD598's, soundstage seems to be bigger than even the most expensive of headphones, and I hope I get wowed by the aireness of my first pair of open back headphones. Hopefully I can get to audition them, and I'll have the same feeling as you about them :D And...- KSIXephos938

Sennheiser IE80 VS Sennheiser HD598se
I'll have to try and get my hands on a pair of HD598's before making a decision. You seem to concede that the IE80's are better but still prefer the sound of the HD598's. Like you said, personal preference matters more than cost/specs. So my question to you is if you were forced to choose one...- KSIXephos938

Sennheiser IE80 VS Sennheiser HD598se
Again, would you mind describing the actual differences between the IE80's and HD598's? I'm looking for a permanent solution, so I wouldn't mind spending a bit more if it means it'll be better in the long term. What sort of amp would be able to drive the HD650's?- KSIXephos938

Sennheiser IE80 VS Sennheiser HD598se
I live in Australia, and they cost $200-250aud over here. Would you care to explain in more technical terms, the differences between the IE80's and HD598's? Cheers!- KSIXephos938

Sennheiser IE80 VS Sennheiser HD598se
So in your opinion, the HD598's aren't better the IE80's, perhaps even worse. Would you say that it is pointless to get a pair of headphones that I could simply use my IEMs for? Would it be more beneficial to get something a class up like the HD650's? In that case, I would also need to invest...- KSIXephos938

Sennheiser IE80 VS Sennheiser HD598se
Hi guys, I currently own a pair of IE80's but I'm looking for a new pair of open back headphones. With the IE80's being my first pair of audiophile headphones, I've grown accustomed to the 'Sennheiser veil'. I've experienced extremely harsh highs with the majority of other brands; ATH-M50...- KSIXephos938

Suggest an Open Back Headphone!
Not really picky about the design but more about the colour. My entire desk are shades of black so a cream pair of headphones would really stick out. But I did find out that Sennehiser released a SE edition which is all black, so I've narrowed down to either the DT990's or the HD598's. ...- KSIXephos938

Hmmm, the HE400S's are a bit too expensive in the country I live in, and I'm not particularly enthused about the colour way of the HD598's. (as picky as that sounds) The DT990 Pro's have always been my first choice, how harsh are the highs? Also, my amp is a FiiO E07K so not the best amp in...- KSIXephos938

Suggest an Open Back Headphone!
I'll mainly be using these headphones for gaming/movies/YouTube so I'm looking for something with a fairly wide soundstage, clean vocals while also being warm and easy to listen to. Are there any headphones that fit the bill?- KSIXephos938

Great! What are the sound signatures on them both? The HD600's look nice, being a Sennheiser product.- KSIXephos938

Suggest an Open Back Headphone!
Hi guys, Been recently looking for a new pair of open back headphones, never owned any before so am open to suggestions. The current setup I'm most likely going to use them with is a FiiO E07K DAC hooked up to my laptop. I've been leaning towards the; - Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250ohm -...- KSIXephos938

Need Subwoofer For My Laptop Setup
Well I am using the FiiO E07K DAC/Amp to connect my speakers and sub. Would that work? I have never had a 2.1 system before, so the difference between 2.1 and 2.0 with sub is that the 2.1 connects the speakers and sub together in one audio jack whereas the 2.0 with sub is connected with 2 audio... -
New Gaming Headset
Um, well I stated that I wanted these new headphones to be used for competitive gaming and the mixamp is a main part of it because of the use of Dolby Headphone. I think that the reason you can't hear the difference of with and without the mixamp is because you have a decent sound card. I am...- KSIXephos938
