JH Audio JH-13 PRO impressions thread
I received my new JH-13s last week. The context of my impressions is that I: Owned Etymotics ER4S for about 8 years, and paired them with one of the cheaper portable Headroom amps. Upgraded to JH-13s with a Corda Symphony II and used them for about 3 years before a dog ate them...- katalyst^

Upgrade from a Corda Symphony II for CIEMs
Hi all, I'm in the process of replacing a broken pair of JH13s and am also now considering buying another desktop amp for them. I paired my original JH13s with a Corda Symphony II, which I had primarily for the DAC, because my main source is a laptop. I've the same need now (DAC+amp, but...- katalyst^

The dog ate my JH-13s...
Will do. I hope that FreqPhase provides a perceptible difference, but, having read these forums for years, I'm well aware of the power of expectations :)- katalyst^

The dog ate my JH-13s...
Apologies for the slow response, which is mainly to thank everyone again for the advice. I'm about to hit order on another pair of JH-13s. Everything that I've read and all of the advice offered seems consistent in viewing them as one of the most neutral sets of CIEMs in that range, and I...- katalyst^

The dog ate my JH-13s...
Interesting. I had ER4S for many years prior to the JH13s, loved them and their neutrality (to the extent that I listened to a pair of HD650s for about a week before they were entombed in their box), but still preferred the JH13s. Perhaps a case of expectations being conditioned by price, or...- katalyst^

The dog ate my JH-13s...
Quote: Sorry - after I (hoping against hope) e-mailed JH Audio about the prospects of repairing them and received the inevitable reply ("lol srs?") - I threw them out. Thanks to all for the advice. I've generally been considering flagship products from companies that are...- katalyst^

The dog ate my JH-13s...
I'm not joking, and it wasn't my fault. Beating it to death isn't a realistic option, the owner doesn't have the funds to replace them, complaining won't bring them back, so the only thing to do is suck it up. It has been at least 2-3 years since I bought them, so I'm a little behind what is...- katalyst^

Corda Symphony info and impressions
I bought on impulse a Symphony. Could anyone help me with post purchase dissonance by assuring me that I was right in thinking that it is superior to a DAC1 both in terms of the DAC and the headamp, and at least comparable to the DA11, M902, and others in the class? Cheers- katalyst^

DAC/Amp combo around $1000
Hi all, I almost committed to buying a DAC/Amp combo, for around $1000 US, last year, but changed my mind at the last moment. At the time, the contenders included the DAC1, DA10, M902, Presonus CS, and the Corda Opera. The reason I didn't commit was that there seemed to be no real consensus...- katalyst^

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I just received my HD650s. In comparison to my ER4S: There is, of course, far more bass, but it is 'flubby'. It is certainly not the controlled, tight punches that well-sealed Etys give; There is a loss of detail and it seems as though there is slightly less extension in the highs; The...- katalyst^
