Unfortunately, just heard I will not be able to make it this time round. Have fun and listen safely, always wear a helmet.

Not sure if I can make it, but I have put my gear on the list in case I can. Seriously would like to come, some very interesting gear already listed!

    Dutch Meet

Quote: I'll check with 2 more Dutch Head-fiers whom I've met along the way and aren't on the list, they might know more people too. Might also be good to have a look at the previous Dutch meet-up tread, could be a few more people from there who are interested.

    Dutch Meet

Ohai,  just saw the post on tweakers. I'm in if I have the time, never made it to any other meets due to work, so hopefully this time round things are different.   Considering the other cans that will likely be brought by other members, my current list would be: Grado 225i woody and 325i...

Not too sure, some say it is to hold the grill in place, or to make sure the driver enclosure remains inserted in the cup at the right depth. My favorite explanation is that Grado put them there so that the 325i doesn't compete too strongly with the higher tiered models!

Quote:   Venting the holes produces more bass and bluetak on the back of driver reduces resonance I think, haven't tried that yet. One mod I'd advise on the 325 though, is removal of the plastic ring on the inside of the cup, just below the grill. The inside of the metal cup was covered...

Finally got hold of the Vibro cups and they truly are a beauty to behold!   Still slightly shaky after a long weekend festival and with slightly trembling hands I soldered some stock cables to the already liberated 225i drivers I got from the FS section a little while ago. The rest of the...

Quote:   Taking calls is great and the remote is really good to have too.. pause, skip and volume adjustments, picking up calls without removing the phone from my pocket is really nice. Also the short and thin wires are good for portable use. Can't wait for my Vibro cups to arrive...

Quote:   Grados take a little while to get used to but the pain subsides, soon enough they won't be painful at all. A trick with the L-Cush is to rinse them thoroughly under a tap with a bit of fabric softener, let them dry out and they will be a tad softer.   And since this is your...

Quote: What's the pilot look and how did I make it official? I had the choice between the 'i' cups or these, I prefer the old cups too, especially since these cans are for portable use, the smaller cup is more practical.

Probably not what most people have in mind when they re-cable a Grado   I had a few spare parts; SR60 drivers, cups, headband but no cable, so I sourced a cable from my unused iPhone headset! Now it has a mic and remote, probably doesn't do the SQ any good, but since these are for when I'm...

REVIEW: Qinpu Q-2 and A-3 Amplifiers and V-5 Speakers

I got the K1000 without any accesories, just the cans. I already bought an adapter from XLR to jack, but will be getting/ building a pigtail soon to hook it up to this amp.

REVIEW: Qinpu Q-2 and A-3 Amplifiers and V-5 Speakers

Thanks WJE, that makes sense, I'll need to have a look to see if I can source the bits. the K1000 usually came with a pigtail to hook it up directly to speaker outputs though, I'm not sure I have read about many people making the taps for the K1000, but I might as well start that way... The Q2...
