Still rattling...anybody??

So this is an issue that has been bothering me for about a month now but I've been too lazy to post until now, I'm hoping maybe someone in these forums with experience with Shure E4C's or IEM's in general might be able to help me out here, as this is my first pair and I love them aside from this...

av123's new X series is supposed to be really good for a $200 pair of speakers. Pair these with a decent amp, maybe their SP3 for example, and you'd have a good setup for about 700.

If your amps putting out too much current like Mikhail says tube rolling wouldn't solve the problem I think. Hmmm I changed my Playlist "exposed background setting" color in the Columns UI tab and now the blank area in my playlist is completely black, not alternating rows of grey and black like it was before. Where there are songs the rows alternate between black and grey; anybody know how to make it...

Audiophiles do not like tampering with the audio signal. It is an interesting idea though, I bet if you look around somebody has implemented this in some form or another?

In support of external HD's I use Lacie 250gb drives for music archiving at home and also to store video footage for editing at work. We have used these drives for years with basically no problems so far. Personally they are a great solution and are very easy to use.

Personally if I had only $150 to spend on speakers I wouldn't go for something that tries to cover all bandwidths like a fullrange, I'd rather put the money into something smaller like a monitor that covers less frequency but does a better job at it. Of course what you'd be powering the speakers...

Personally I would say ditch the X-Cans. Tweaking is good I think if you find a general sonic signature that you already like and then want to improve upon, but if you don't like how it sounds from the start I think you'll never really be satisfied with it anyways and will therefore be wasting...

I've never used one of those but personally, I'd stay away from them. I just wouldn't trust that that thing would do a good enough job converting the optical to coaxial without introducing more jitter. Personally, I'd look for another DAC, or another way to get a coaxial digital out off of your...

I can't compare DACs either, but I use a Bel Canto DAC2 and am very happy with it in my setup. I have been seeing a lot of these on Audiogon recently for $700, which is really a great deal in my opinion, I paid $800 for mine used.
