jbl e80 floorstander's $150; good?

Personally if I had only $150 to spend on speakers I wouldn't go for something that tries to cover all bandwidths like a fullrange, I'd rather put the money into something smaller like a monitor that covers less frequency but does a better job at it. Of course what you'd be powering the speakers with matters too.

I've heard those, and they sound pretty solid for what they cost.

Should have the same if not better sound quality than those JBL's and cost A LOT less... I have the R50's lil brothers... the R30's, which is also availible at outpost or Fry's for 40 bucks each or 80 bucks a pair. Sounds great.
