How do you enjoy your music?

I do most of the intense music listening when i'm on the bus or the train. That's when my thoughts all centralise on the music i'm listening to, I analyse and visualize every song i listen to. and it transports me to another world.

What kind of music lover are you?

I came across a brilliant article about “The Holy Trinity”. No, i didn’t get it off the Catholic News, instead i got it off Stereophile.   Here’s the link! if you’re interested. http://stereophile.com/asweseeit/the_holy_trinity/   The article explains the ‘The Holy Trinity in...

    Do I need a DAC/Amp?? (quiet hiss)

haha. i get the same hiss thing when i listen to my ipod using my sennheiser hd 280 pro. what i did to solve my problem temporarily is adjust the eq to my player, such that the treble isn't too prominent. it's free. but of course, getting an amp would be better

portable amp for both IEMs and speakers?

I was thinking of getting an amp suited for my livewire trips, however my speakers for my turntable need an amp too. So was thinking instead of buying both at one shot, could i use the headphone amp for my sound system as a temporary sort of thing. I know it wouldn't work as well, considering...

Critical Listening Skills- How do you listen to your music?

Just before i sleep, i'll yank out my headphones, and play some music according to what i feel like listening to at the moment. When i'm sad, i'll listen to mellow ones etc. I'll immerse myself in them, sometimes thinking i'm in a music video. Everything in tandem with the beat, with the lyrics...

    Converting 128kbps.mp3 to 320kbps

I was wondering, if cnverting .mp3 to lossless wouldn't increase the quality. then, would converting 128kbps.mp3 to 320kbps.mp3 increase quality??

Are amplifiers for iems worth the money?

i've been deliberating whether to get myself amplifiers to get the best out of my iems. but the cost, and the fact that it'll look like a bomb, and it isn't exactly portable, makes me think twice.

cheapest IEM with custom molds available?

hey, erm, well i don't think there are any customs below $200, at least customs that have multiple drivers. but the cheapest ones around are definitely livewires. for dual drivers, they cost just 249. which, if u ask me, is a real bargain. the sound is comparable to UEs and Westones too, i've...
