Headphone Sightings 2
For the few weeks I've been on campus, I've seen: •Dozens of Beats solos and studios •One or two Beats Pros •V-Modas, not sure what model •A few Sennheiser HD...202/205? Can't remember. •ONE Grado, probably SR-80. Older guy had them. Non-student. •Sony MDR (not sure if V6 or...- holleywood25

Samsung Galaxy S III, Help!?
DAC stands for digital-to-analog-converter. This is the piece of hardware in your phone that converts the digital source of your music (mp3, for example) to an analog signal that your headphone recognizes and converts to sound. Amps and DACs are two different items but can be found bundled...- holleywood25

Android phones and USB DACs
I've asked for the modder's info. Hopefully I can get a ROM and get someone over at xda to work on a mod, but that may be a long-shot. Still worth a try.- holleywood25

First post, looking for a new headset around $400 budget
Here's my take: I started out in the gaming world like you, buying some budget phones (Tritton AX 720) and thinking they were awesome. However, I always wanted to experiment with other cans. Then came the Ultrasone Pro 900s, which TOTALLY blew me away. My favorite aspect about them...- holleywood25

Headphones for college
On the high (~$300) end, the Ultrasone Pro 900s are probably your best choice. They have an ABSURD amount of bass and isolate pretty well. They are also fold-able which helps with portability. I like their aesthetics as well. Comfort-wise, the Pro 900s clamp pretty snuggly which can be slightly...- holleywood25

Beats Are Magical! And Other Nearly-Criminal Marketing Schemes
Found this on another website I visit: "lol can't believe people are still asking about these things. Beats were personally made by Dr.Dre. He's a professional musician with a lot of experience working with some of the most well known names in hip-hop. Of course they're going to worth it...- holleywood25

Grado Fan Club!
Holy s***. My Grado/alessandro MS2's just came in today and I am BLOWN away. Rock never sounded this good. The midrange/guitar presence puts my Ultrasone's to shame. Grado may have its next new fan :)- holleywood25
