Schiit Syn Surround Processor Reviews/Impressions
Thank you...i believe it is negative cross feed, which i've equated to some level of cross talk cancellation. Intended or not, Schiit may have possibly given guys some semblance of a poor man's BACCH. I have been comparing it to my BACCH processor. But, of course, i could be all wrong and...- HIRESfan

Schiit Syn Surround Processor Reviews/Impressions
@Tbone289 , Turning the width knob fully counterclockwise appears to have some perceptible sonic 'similarities' in terms of soundfield to say...cross talk cancellation (like what BACCH does). It sounds better to my ears than all processing turned off. Hence, I was wondering if Schiit was doing...- HIRESfan

Schiit Syn Surround Processor Reviews/Impressions
Could someone who is experimenting with the Syn for speaker usage (not headphones) comment on the following: What exactly does turning the "width" knob fully counterclockwise do? in the absence of a center channel and using 2 fronts/2 surrounds only. I would have thought that it is the...- HIRESfan

Schiit For The Ultimate Syn-ner?
I have always been a fan of object based audio, surround music and upmixing stereo to such formats with tens of thousand invested in that category of gear. I rarely like a stereo presentation for music and it rarely does anything for me. I bought the Schiit Syn recently to put together a small...- HIRESfan

Schiit Lokius Impressions & Reviews
I am experiencing the same (collapsing of soundstage) with my speakers and it is becoming frustrating/unacceptable. Could it be that Schiit sent me a faulty unit? Perhaps the same unit you returned?!?! I don't see many others with the same complaint.- HIRESfan

Denafrips Sub-Brand or Rip-off? The case of Musician Audio's Pegasus R2R DAC
It looks to me like Denafrips dudes insist on paying the dealer's cut. Pegasus dudes pay manufacturer direct. There's gotta be a lotta butthurt Denafrips bros out here after they realize the dealer's cut can cost a lot! Economics! It's a tad rough, i know LOL- HIRESfan

Denafrips Sub-Brand or Rip-off? The case of Musician Audio's Pegasus R2R DAC
The NBT studio guy gave two consecutive product of the year awards to Denafrips products. He craps all over the Denafrips's sole competitor at this time, the Musician Pegasus. Does it not look a bit obvious? Is he in bed with Denafrips? Maybe, maybe not. However, It is a legitimate suspicion...- HIRESfan

Denafrips Sub-Brand or Rip-off? The case of Musician Audio's Pegasus R2R DAC
My pegasus was delivered 4 days ago. It is sounding absolutely fabulous and bests my Yamaha A-S2100 cd player in some ways. I am in plain shock that a 1100 dollar DAC is this good. I had never heard a DAC implementation that sounded better than my Yamaha CD player for many years (since it first...- HIRESfan

Denafrips Sub-Brand or Rip-off? The case of Musician Audio's Pegasus R2R DAC
He's a petty li'l boy reviewing a defective unit (appears to have some problem with this vendor). Here's a real review from another reviewer (an adult for a change).- HIRESfan

Denafrips Sub-Brand or Rip-off? The case of Musician Audio's Pegasus R2R DAC
Hello all,I am new here. Has anyone made a comparison of this Pegasus DAC with any of the Denafrips DACs that are getting rave reviews all over the place. I've never had a R2R DAC or a standalone DAC ever before. I have stuck with the DACs that came with my cd players all my life. I have had a...- HIRESfan
