Does the new 60i/80i's reduce the discomfort many people find of them.

I like to listen to a variety of different music (rock, alternative rock, and even some forms of classical music) my price range would have to be 50-120 dollars.   edit:  I like to have the details as a whole in a songs recording.

Grado Sr60i Grado Sr80i Grado Sr125 etc.   All in terms of price, comfort, durability, and whichever is worth the money for the best rock sound.

Cool so money wise should i head in the direction of the grados? I've also heard that grado's are uncomfortable after a while is this a big issue or just a small one?   What's open air mean exactly? (sorry for all the noob questions...hard not to ask b/c i am one!)
